We already knew the Cleveland had it covered in the cheap beer department. However, this week Thrillist found Cleveland was also tied for the cheapest beer in the NFL.

It may be a seven-way tie but we’ll take it. Along with the Browns, the Giants, Jets and Seahawks all charge $5 for a small brew, less than half of what Oakland Raiders fans have to shell out. FirstEnergy Stadium also falls about $2.50 less than the national stadium average, so while a $5 can might feel like a rip off, just be happy you don’t live in California.

Nine new beers were added to the Browns menu this season, most of which hail from Cleveland. Jury’s still out on whether those top the $5 beer list or not, but we’ll check them out at Sunday’s game and report back. Below is the full chart from Thrillist.

  1. It is interesting that the top tier has three clubs – St. Louis, Oakland, San Diego – gouging loyal fans one last time before the moving vans are scheduled for Inglewood (one or two teams) and/or Carson (two teams) and/or San Antonio (one team) and/or St. Louis (one team).

  2. Where the heck can you get a $5 beer at the Browns stadium? I’ve never seen that price for any beer there.

  3. Soooooo, Brittany, I’m guessing you skipped every math class ever? It’s called unit cost and it undermines your entire article. Also there’s no such thing as a $5 beer at First Energy. Have a great weekend!
