Tim and Erin Frazee (Birdietown, Lakewood) and chef Andrew Gorski (Edacious, Avon Lake) are just a few weeks away from opening Sundaybird (15027 Madison Ave.), a fast-casual rotisserie chicken concept in Lakewood. The 1,200-square-foot space was most recently home to Pachamama Kitchen.

The space has been reshaped into sleek and tidy shop with seating for about 20 guests. As they did at Birdietown, the owners worked with Cleveland-based Shred and Co. to craft custom-built finishes throughout the restaurant.

But the focal point of the shop is the 48-chicken, glass-fronted rotisserie, which turns out golden-brown, self-basted birds throughout the day. Those chickens will be sold by the quarter (white or dark), half and whole. While the chickens roast, their drippings will flavor a bed of Yukon gold potatoes below that will be offered as a side along with mac and cheese, collard greens, rice, cold cucumber salad and rolls. There will also be a pulled chicken sandwich.

Down the road, Gorski says he intends to add items such as mini-pot pies, chicken soup and bone broth.

To drink there will be tea, soft drinks and self-serve beer in cans and bottles.

Look for Sundaybird to open sometime in November.
