Local artist Thu Tran combines puppets, a makeshift kitchen, and packaged snacks to create a mixed-media show that explores modern-day marketing. It’s called Food Party. Tran’s installation — part of the Sculpture Center’s Window to Sculpture series — includes various food products, anime-inspired puppets, and a cardboard set that skewers Food TV programs. Hand-blown glass, fabrics, and paints also figure into the program. It’s a simultaneously funny and biting commentary.
