Earlier this year, Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie collaborated on a self-titled album simply dubbed Buckingham McVie and played a few dates in support of the release.

The album’s genesis dates back three years ago to when McVie rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the group’s On With the Show tour. The two recorded new material prior to Fleetwood Mac’s rehearsals for that tour.

“We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically,” says Buckingham in a press release announcing a new set of tour dates that includes a Nov. 3 stop at Hard Rock Live. “The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, ‘What took us so long?’”

“We’ve always written well together, Lindsey and I, and this has just spiraled into something really amazing that we’ve done between us,” adds McVie.

Tickets for the Hard Rock Live show are available at the Hard Rock Rocksino box office and through Ticketmaster.
