Bernhard recently launched her own daily show, Sandyland, on SiriusXM Radio’s new Radio Andy channel; the show gives her a platform for her “strong opinions and unique perspective.” It also features “a wide spectrum of guests from the worlds of entertainment and fashion.”
“The Midwest is in my blood,” says Bernhard in the press release announcing her Cleveland appearance. “The automobile, the rubber meeting the road, the sound of the factories pumping out the American dream.”
Born in Flint, Michigan, she recalls “the dark winters, the freedom of summer and those early friendships that last a lifetime.”
“I saw my good friend [pop singer] Belinda Carlisle over the holidays, and she told me about this beautiful cathedral in Cleveland” says Bernhard. “I knew Belinda was playing there in early April and decided this was where I wanted to perform when in Cleveland. I couldn’t be more excited.”
It has been more than a decade since Bernhard last performed in town. The show here will also feature her backing band, The Flaming Zircons. General seating tickets are priced at $47.50 and VIP seating is $65. Additionally, there are very limited VIP seats that come complete with a Sandra Bernhard Meet & Greet. Those tickets cost $125. All tickets can be purchased at ticketweb.com, ticketmaster.com or at the Cathedral Concerts box office located at 23400 Mercantile Road, Suite #10 in Beachwood. Fans can also purchase tickets by phone at 1-866-468-3401.
