The jaunt includes a stop at the Grog Shop on Sept. 14.
“We’re always looking forward,” says singer Colin Abrahall in a press release announcing the album and tour. “[Whether it’s the] next gig, next tour, next album. For us, it is all about momentum. At this point, if we stopped moving forward, we’d just fall over.”
The band recorded the album in its hometown of Birmingham, England, where it first formed in 1978.
“We laid down all kinds of takes on the songs which made the mixing interesting as we’d send it all off to [engineer] Michael [Rosen] and him and [Rancid’s] Lars [Fredericksen] would send back tracks,” says Abrahall. “You’d think something was maybe a glitch or whatever and it’d come back and we’d listen and think ‘that’s fucking amazing.’”
