Described as “the greatest LeBron sneakers ever offered to the public,” the shoes, which were worn on April 23, 2017, were given to Kyrie Irving and inscribed with a memorable message.
“To Young God – You’re the Fucking Truth Bro.”
The auction description classifies the above as the “single greatest inscription you will see from LeBron or any player.” It’s also a tragic reminder of how much LeBron loved Kyrie and wanted to finish his career alongside him.
The size 16 shoes are also inscribed with a crown on both left and right shoes and a “King James” signature on the left.
The playoff sweep was James’ 10th, an NBA record, and the game four victory itself was James’ 21st consecutive first-round win. He notched 33 points and 10 rebounds in the game. (Kyrie had 28 points.) The Cavs, coming off their 2016 Championship, advanced to the NBA finals for the third straight year, and lost to a Warriors team that featured Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.
