Spider-man creator Stan Lee won’t be coming to Wizard World Cleveland due to “unforeseen circumstances,” the conference announced on Twitter Tuesday.

But the show must go on. The super hero-filled three-day event is still running from Friday, March 2, through Sunday, March 4, inside the Huntington Convention Center. All tickets purchased for autographs, photo ops and VIP with Lee will be refunded.

Lee, who got his start in 1939 and would eventually change the way we see comic book characters, also created the Incredible Hulk, Daredevil and Black Panther. His presence is sure to be missed at Wizard World Cleveland.

  1. Sorry to hear about Stan Lee; however have been attempting to get general admission refund. I was told first that these were in process; next call was told these were not refunded, while waiting for supervisor and was hung up on. Calling again – can only be patient!
