O’Rourke, who famously lost last year’s Senate race against Texas Republican Ted Cruz, had once been seen as an early favorite among the seemingly 200 candidates running for president in 2020. He was last seen in Cleveland in March, yelling on top of tables at Gino’s Cento Anno.
Interestingly, the former Texas Congressmen had then said he did not plan to take your AR-15, but at last week’s Democratic debate proclaimed that, in the wake of the recent El Paso mass shooting, “Hell yes, we’re gonna take your AR-15, your AK-47, and we’re not going to allow it to be used against your fellow Americans anymore.”
The upcoming Northeast Ohio event kicks off at 6 p.m. outdoors at Risman Plaza. The backup indoor location is the Kent Student Center.
