But for his upcoming tour, dubbed the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, Yankovic will present a “stripped-down, no-frills production.” The set list will change every night, and the show will feature Yankovic’s non-parody material.
Yankovic brings the tour to the Ohio Theatre on March 25. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday.
“After 35 years of big productions, I just wanted to take it down a few notches and have a little musical palate cleanser,” says Yankovic in a press release announcing the tour. “This show will be loose, unpredictable, and maybe a bit sloppy – we’ll be making it up as we go along!”
A Yankovic friend and UHF cast member, comedian Emo Philips will open the show.
