Post punk rockers Interpol played the Agora on Wednesday night, providing the audience with a retrospective of a band that has maintained a steady following since its inception in 1997. The New York-founded outfit has undergone a few personnel changes since its early days, while lead vocalist Paul Banks has been, alongside lead guitarist Daniel Kessler, the anchors of the lineup from the very beginning.
Touring in support of their newest record, The Mirror Weighs a Ton, the band slid into the Agora for a ninety-minute show.
Opener Diiv, an Indie Rock, shoegazer outfit, played a forty-five minute set of originals. Noted primarily as an instrumental outfit the quartet, led by frontman Zachary Cole Smith, led the audience through a trippy set of experimental compositions.
