A new report from Rover.com, a site that connects pet owners with part-time pet-sitters, has released the Top 5/Top 10 cat and dog names for most major cities in America, including Cleveland.
According to the report, 25 percent of nationwide pet owners polled on the site said they would consider naming their pet something that they also would name their own potential human children.
In the last year, names like Lizzo, Beyonce and Maisel (of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel fame) have skyrocketed in popularity nationwide, although not enough to crack the Top 5 in Cleveland. The No. 1 trending name for Cleveland dogs is, sadly, Baker, proving that Browns fans are forever optimistic.

Hopefully, after reading these findings, all new Cleveland pet owners will take into consideration names that are out of the ordinary (read: not the same as actual human newborns). Because pets, as it turns out, aren’t actually humans, so names like Moose and Snowball and Stinker and Tater Tot can and should be considered.
