On April 30, a fire destroyed Dee-Jay’s Custom Butchery in Fredericktown, a family-run establishment that has been supplying quality meats to local restaurants since the early 1990s.

Now, many of those same restaurants have banded together to help recover some of the losses. On Monday, August 4, Cordelia will be hosting a casual cookout for Dee-Jay’s, with all proceeds going directly to the family.

The event runs from noon to 5 p.m. and costs $40 per person presale and $45 at the door.

“We’ll be grilling and chilling on the patio. Come hang! It’ll be a great time for a great cause.”

Some of the people and places behind the benefit include Leavened Bakery, Juneberry Table, Ohio City Provisions, Noble Beast Brewing, Market Garden Brewery, Lucky’s Cafe, Sophia’s, Spice Kitchen and Cordelia.
