Charming Disaster
This New York-based Goth-folk duo inspired by the likes of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton takes a theatrical approach to its live performances. It plays tonight at 7 at the Foundry. Cowboy Princess Brigade and Super Secret Cult Band will open.

The Donn of Tiki Screening

Manilow: The Last Cleveland Concert
The man behind hits such as “I Write the Songs,” “Copacabana” and “Mandy” brings what he claims to be his farewell tour to Rocket Arena. The 81-year-old crooner got his start as a commercial jingle writer in the 1960s before getting a gig as the producer and arranger for Ed Sullivan and then working with singer Tony Orlando. His solo career would take off after the release of his self-titled debut in 1973. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Universal Language
Two people find a sum of money frozen deep within the sidewalk ice and try to find a way to get it out in this French film. It screens at 8:45 tonight at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque.

Vandalizard Record Release Party
The local punk rock group celebrates the release of its new album, Demolition, Vol. 1, a collection of call-and-response punk tunes that recall acts such as Dropkick Murphys and Rancid, with tonight’s show at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights. The group has started to make some noise in town and has been on WRUW’s Solid State broadcast and will play the Kids are United Fest at No Class in July. Tonight’s show begins at 8. The former Prime Minister of New Zealnd comes to the Mimi Ohio Theatre to discuss how a self-described Mormon girl plagued by guilt made political history. The talk begins at 7 p.m. Every ticket includes a signed copy of Ardern’s new memoir, A Different Kind of Power.

Bill Bellamy
If comic Bill Bellamy did nothing more than coin the phrase “booty call,” he’d go down in comic history. But the guy has been a staple on the standup circuit for 30 years now. His star power hasn’t diminished over that time, either. A pro storyteller who knows how to work the room, he performs tonight at 7 and 9:30 and tomorrow night at 6:30 and 9 at the Funny Bone.

Andy Bopp
This singer-songwriter who released two albums with his band via a major record label comes to the Treelawn. His bio notes that his 1998 album, Life on Planet Eartsnop, is regarded as one of the top power-pop albums of all time. Tonight’s show starts at 8.

GlamGore: 7th Annual Pride on the East Side

Hedwig and the Angry Inch
The fantastic rock musical about a genderqueer rock star named Hedwig screens tonight at 10 at the Capitol Theatre as part of a Pride Month celebration. Screenings continue through Sunday.

The Lost Weekend — The Photography of May Pang
This photographic exhibition and sale features candid photos of John Lennon and friends that May Pang took during Lennon’s “lost weekend” in the 1970s. The exhibit, which will be on display this weekend at the Treelawn to coincide with the digital release of the feature film documentary, can be viewed from 4 to 8 p.m. today (during Walk All Over Waterloo!). The George Martins will perform tonight at 8 (admission fee required). The exhibit sticks around at the Treelawn through Sunday.

41st Art by the Falls Festival
This year’s event will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field at in Chagrin Falls. Art by the Falls will showcase more than 160 artists from around the country, including painters, potters, jewelers, sculptors, photographers and other fine artists.

Authors Alley with Annie Zaleski and Kevin Keating
From noon to 2 p.m., writer Kevin Keating will be on hand at the Rock Hall to discuss and sign copies of his rock-themed book Bride of Dreams. Then, from 2 to 4 p.m., Annie Zaleski will discuss and sign copies of her new book, I Got You Babe, which pays tribute to recent Rock Hall Inductee Cher.

Bad Suns
While making his band’s latest album, Accelerator, Bad Suns singer Christo Bowman turned 30, got married and found out he was having a kid. Those major life moments inform the tunes on Accelerator. Big Hoke Album Release
Led by songwriter, arranger, singer and pianist Justin Gorski, the local band Big Hoke recorded its new album, this, right now, in the summer of 2024 at Suma Recording Studio in Painesville with producer/engineer Dave Shaw. The album’s singles, “Another Thing Coming” and “Going Down,” showcase the group’s jazz- and zydeco-inspired sounds. Expect to hear them when the band plays a release party at Forest City Brewery. Gabriel Xavier and the Moon Roses open. Doors are at 7 p.m.

Buddy Guy
A Rock Hall Inductee, singer-guitarist Buddy Guy started recording in the late 1950s after he moved to Chicago and recorded for famous blues labels such as Cobra, Artistic and Chess Records. He’s continued to regularly release albums, and his latest effort, 2022’s The Blues Don’t Lie, features cameos by the likes of Elvis Costello and James Taylor. He comes to Jacobs Pavilion tonight. Los Lonely Boys and Eric Gales open the show. It begins at 6.

Sarah Millican
The comedian brings her brand-new standup show, dubbed Late Bloomer, to Connor Palace. Expect to hear Millican talk about how she had no friends as a kid and didn’t really hit puberty until 16. The show begins at 8 p.m.

Pride in the CLE
This annual all-day festival at Mall B features a diverse array of vendors —areas of interest include healthcare, activism, social groups and nonprofits as well as music, entertainment and DJs. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with a march, and the festivities continue until 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Prom Rewind
Guests are encouraged to put on formal wear and for this event at the Children’s Museum of Cleveland that features music, dancing, games and nostalgic fun. It goes from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Proceeds from Prom Rewind benefit CMC’s Wonder Fund, which provides free and reduced admission for underprivileged children.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the 1975 film that still draws an exuberant, costumed crowd that likes to throw rice and dry toast and sing along to the songs in the movie, still draws big crowds to local showings. Expect a throng to show up for tonight’s screening that takes place at 9:30 p.m. at the Cedar Lee Theatre in Cleveland Heights.

Sow and Grow Festival
There will be draft animal demonstrations, oxen talks, beekeeping insights, natural dyeing demonstrations, plein air painting workshops and hands-on farm chore demonstrations at this event that takes place today and tomorrow at Hale Farm & Village. The festival also features wagon rides provide by Trail Light Farms and the annual plant sale presented by the farm’s volunteer auxiliary, the Citizens of Hale Farm & Village.

The self-described “grooviest brother man from another land” performs tonight at 8 at the Grog shop in Cleveland Heights. His 2020 single “Keemy Casanova” shows off his lyrical skills as he delivers lines such as “From the South of Cackalacky, Mississippi, Arkansas/And back to Tallahassee/I’m groovier than most players” over sparse but funky beats. NNENA, Armand Rashad, and Mynameisbravo share the bill.

Concerts at Lake View Cemetery
The annual summer concert series at Lake View Cemetery offers locals yet another great opportunity to savor some free outdoor performances. The concert series takes place on the Garfield Monument lawn, making it one of the most unique settings in the city. Lake View Cemetery has partnered with Jim Wadsworth Productions to set the lineup, and the local soul/jazz/R&B band Blue Lunch will perform at today’s concert, which takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. Feel free to bring a lawn chair, blanket or picnic basket.
