In response, the band foreswore its punkier sound and showed up on a new label with a new CD, Out Here All Night. Damone now sounds like Mötley Crüe, fronted by rock’s toughest woman since Joan Jett (with a little of Ronnie Spector’s sexy sassiness tossed in there for good measure). “The songs just came naturally this time,” says LeBlanc. “We wanted them to be catchy and powerful.” All Night combines ’80s-style power ballads, glam guitar riffs, and last-call sing-alongs all of which LeBlanc credits to no longer being a teenager. “I used to have a lot of anxiety in social situations,” she says. “My psychological state of mind is much more at ease now.”
