Fruits of the Poisonous Tree, Daniel Belardinelli's paintings look like folk art as imagined by Atreyu. Primitive, almost skeletal figures with bulging eyes stare at each other, while printed dialogue hovers above them. In a typical piece, one character says to another, "You don't have any balls." But these biting works do.
