The state has a long history of foregoing huge amounts of tax revenue on the argument that giving wealthy people and businesses tax breaks will create jobs.
“When you trim costs, you actually end up cutting care. So the way the hospital deals with this is they end up cutting staffing. They have fewer staff, longer wait times, and in some cases, communities losing access to health care altogether.”
The news comes as recent polls show that voters strongly disapprove of the way President Donald Trump, the author of huge new tariffs, is handling the economy.
