Beleaguered Browns owner Jimmy Haslam faced the assembled press yesterday and promised that, with the help of the internet, the Browns will make the right decision with the team’s next head coach.

“We’ve had a rough stretch, that much is clear,” Haslam said.

The Browns have had 17 head coaches in the past 10 years. Most recently, Josh Cribbs was fired last week.

Haslam said the team will post the 20 finalists online sometime this weekend. Voters must fill up at a Pilot Flying J to acquire a voting code.

“We also have some good deals on two-for-one Diet Cokes and 20% off bags of Joe Thomas’ elk jerky, so check those out at participating locations too,” said Haslam.

  1. Haslam actually made the statements through a collect phone call – limited to five minutes – from FCI Mendota…..though he hopes to be released in time to watch training camp in Columbus due to the accumulation of good time credit.

  2. By 2021, the franchise will have a new ownership and be known as the Las Vegas Chips.
