As the colder temps set in and the snow begins to fall, here are 10 trails hand-picked by the Cleveland Metroparks to enjoy where you can see evergreens and more.

Bridal Veil Falls, Bedford Reservation There are many evergreen trees surrounding the falls, making it the perfect hike to check out various tree species! A short walk along Deerlick Creek, down the boardwalk and steps, leads to a gorgeous view of Bridal Veil Falls. These cascading waterfalls are surrounded by hardwoods, hemlocks and evergreens. Cedar Point Trail, Rocky River Reservation Follow the bridle trail across the street from the Maple Grove Picnic Area to the top of the hill for this beautiful, heart pumping hike filled with gorgeous cedar trees and a breathtaking view of where the east and west branches of the Rocky River meet. Egbert to Alexander Trailhead – and Back, Bedford Reservation Park on the roadside parking lot off Overlook Lane and Egbert, then cautiously cross south across Egbert Road to follow the Buckeye Trail surrounded by eastern white pines. Hemlock Trail, Brecksville Reservation As you wander along this hemlock covered ridge you will be able to enjoy sights of the Chippewa Creek Gorge in the deep valley below. Credit: Cleveland Metroparks
Hemlock Trail, North Chagrin Reservation Following the two largest hemlock lined ravines in the reservation, this trail crosses creeks and valleys, providing many scenic views. Credit: Cleveland Metroparks
Horseshoe Trail, Hinckley Reservation Access this trail off the Carriage Trail starting at the Horse Trailer Parking Lot on Hinckley Hills Road for a scenic 1.5-mile loop underneath mature Norway spruce, Scotch pines, eastern hemlocks, and other conifers. Credit: Cleveland Metroparks
Lake Isaac Loop, Big Creek Reservation Park at the Lake Isaac Trailhead and travel north across the boardwalk to link up with the Lake Isaac Loop.
