A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Cirque Du Soleil's 'Corteo'

Directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, Corteo, the latest Cirque du Soleil arena production, first premiered in Montreal under the Big Top in April 2005. Since then, it’s traveled to 64 cities in 19 countries on four continents.

Corteo, which means cortege in Italian, features a festive parade imagined by a clown. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by angels.

The cast of Corteo includes 51 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from all around the world. It comes to the Q tonight at 7:30 for a six-show, four-night run. These photos were taken backstage as the troupe was prepping for the shows.
