Concert Photos: The Happy Fits Delivered High-Energy Indie Rock to an Eager House of Blues Crowd in Cleveland

The Happy Fits brought its high-energy indie rock to House Of Blues Cleveland on Sunday. Starting in Pittstown, New Jersey, the band was formed in 2016 by lead vocalist and cellist Calvin Langman and guitarist Ross Monteith, with the addition of Luke Davis as drummer following the release of their debut EP Awfully Apeelin. After finding unexpected success on Spotify, the band members dropped out of college to record their first full-length album, Concentrate. They have since completed multiple headlining tours and released a sophomore album, What Could Be Better, in 2020, and a third album, Under the Shade of Green, in 2022.

500 fans waited for The Happy Fits to start the 16-song setlist that lasted a bit over an hour. Opening the show under red spotlight was “Do Your Best,” followed by “She Wants Me.”

Calvin said, “I want to see everyone get your feet off the ground for this next song,” and for “Best Tears,” you could feel the floor bouncing from the fan participation.

He is truly amazing — mixing in classical, rock, and indie into every song, and the crowd ate up the energetic performance.
