For almost 40 years, Wolfgang Beltracchi created and sold new "masterpieces," forgeries of famous 20th century paintings. "I'd say it's easier to sell a painting for a half million than it is for 10,000 dollars. No one thinks it's fake anymore," he admits in Beltracchi: The Art of Forgery, a new documentary about his career as a con man.
