Directed by Robin Campillo and starring Nahuel Pérez Biscayart, Arnaud Valois and Adèle Haene, BPM (Beats Per Minute) dramatizes the lives of several Parisian AIDS activists from the '90s. Though it's not based on a true story, Campillo and co-screenwriter Philippe Mangeot drew on their personal experiences with ACT UP as they developed the film. It makes its Cleveland premiere tonight at 8:10 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, where it screens again at 7 tomorrow night. Tickets are $10, $7 for members and students. (Niesel)
