For 90 years, Merrick House, one of Cleveland’s original settlement houses, has provided child care, youth mentoring and GED preparation. Oh, and it also provides recreation programs and parenting education. Oh, and it also puts on the annual Tremont Arts & Cultural Festival. The organization does all sorts of good stuff, giving us plenty of reasons to attend tonight’s Merrick [Rocks the] House event at House of Blues. The event features a silent auction, food and drinks. Tom “the Buffettman” Watt will perform. It takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. at House of Blues and tickets are $25 to $125. (Niesel)
