Daughter of the late folk rock singer Harry Chapin, singer-songwriter Jen Chapin writes songs that veer more toward jazz. Her publicist uses the term "urban folk" to describe her music and that's an apt summation. Her latest album, Reckoning, certainly has its Joni Mitchell moments (see "Insatiable") but it also swings pretty good too. For tonight's show, Chapin's husband, bassist Stephan Crump, and guitarist Jamie Fox will back her up. (Niesel)
