Rock 'n' Roll High School

If the Smiths were to reunite, it would be one of the coolest reunion concerts ever. But for whatever reason, singer Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr don’t seem to be able to put aside their differences. Smiths fans have to settle for hearing Morrissey sing the old tunes without Marr’s distinctive guitar work. Morrissey 25: Live, features a show that took place earlier this year at Hollywood High School. The film includes testimonials from super fans and brief clips of Morrissey walking around backstage. Morrissey, who yells “Viva Mexico” as he arrives on stage, sounds great too as he rips through solo material and a few choice Smiths tunes. The movie screens at 7:30 tonight at the Cedar Lee Theatre. Tickets are $10. (Niesel)
