Because Taco Tuesday isn’t enough!

With Cleveland Taco Week (May 9th-15th), we’re bringing you $2 Tacos from some of Cleveland’s most popular taco joints. Each participating Taco Week restaurant will be offering their own unique tacos. We’ll be printing passports to guide taco-lovers to participating restaurants — passports will be stamped by the restaurant for each order of tacos (minimum order of 3 tacos).

49th Street Tavern 4129 East 49th St., Newburgh Heights 49th Street Tavern in Newburgh Heights is offering three different offerings for Taco Week. Their steak tacos feature a soft shell, marinated steak, lettuce, tomato, onion, tomato salsa and sour cream, their chicken tacos come with a soft shell, cilantro, lime, tomato salsa and sour cream. Academy Tavern on Larchmere 12800 Larchmere Blvd., Cleveland The Academy Tavern is offering three taco iterations for Taco Week. All three tacos are served with a soft shell. The Academy Taco comes with ground beef, lettuce and cheddar cheese, the buffalo chicken comes with grilled chicken, sauteed onions, green peppers and house made jalapeño cheese sauce and the cajun shrimp taco comes with cajun shrimp, lettuce, tomato and green chili salsa. Añejo Tequila Joint 1051 West 10th Street, Cleveland Añejo Tequila Joint is offering three tacos for Taco Week. Their diablo shrimp tacos come with crispy wild gulf shrimp tossed in diablo sauce (creamy spicy sauce), añejo house slaw and cotija cheese served in a flour or corn tortilla shell. Their veggie tacos come with black beans, roasted corn and peppers served in a flour or corn tortilla shell. Balance Pan-Asian Grille 515 Euclid Ave., Cleveland Downtown, Balance Pan-Asian Grille is offering their Korean BBQ 3.0 taco for Taco Week. Ballantine 4113 Erie St., Willoughby In Willoughby, Ballantine is offering two tacos for Taco Week. Their carnitas taco comes with braised pork, jicama and carrot slaw. Their tofu asada taco comes with grilled tofu, jicama and carrot slaw. Credit: Photo Provided
Barrio Multiple Locations At multiple locations across town (Tremont, Lakewood, Willoughby, Downtown, Kent and Cleveland Heights) Barrio is offering three unique tacos. The El Jefe Loco comes with a stoner shell (flour soft, corn hard, chorizo and queso), spice-rubbed chicken, queso fresco, Western Reserve smoked cheddar, pico de gallo, corn salsa, chipotle honey barbeque sauce and salsa roja. The El Gringo comes on a flour shell with chili-spiced ground sirloin, Western Reserve smoked cheddar, lettuce, pico de gallo and chipotle crema. The El Vegano comes with their lean goddess shell (corn soft, corn hard and guac), pan-seared portobellos, caramelized onions, poblanos, pico de gallo, corn salsa and salsa verde. Blue Habañero 6416 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, 8934 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville and 18066 Royalton Rd., Strongsville Blue Habañero is offering barbacoa tacos served with cilantro, onions, tomatoes and tomato spiced salsa. They’re also offering their street tacos, with certified angus ribeye steak, chorizo and pineapple, served with onion, cilantro, topped with tomatillo sauce. Bomba Taco + Bar 2101 Richmond Rd., Beachwood and 19880 Detroit Rd., Rocky River At two locations (2101 Richmond Rd., Beachwood and 19880 Detroit Rd.,Rocky River), Bomba is offering three different tacos. The Smoked Piggy comes with BBQ pulled pork, crispy onions and Salvadorian slaw. The Yard Bird comes with chipotle marinated roasted chicken, pickled red onions and guacamole. Café Avalun 4640 Richmond Rd., Cleveland Cafe Avalaun is offering two tacos for Taco Week. Their Holy Mole comes with three tacos where you can choose grilled chicken, braised pork or roasted jackfruit and served on soft corn tortillas with dark mole sauce, pickled onions, radish, crumbled queso fresco cheese and guacamole. Grumpy’s Cafe 2621 West 14th St., Cleveland In Tremont, the popular breakfast spot is offering the breakfast taco, served with scrambled eggs, chicken chorizo, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and avocado and their fiesta fresh taco filled with black beans, corn salsa and avocado, topped with a drizzle of chipotle mayo (vegan without mayo). Gunselman’s Tavern 21490 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park Gunselman’s is offering three unique tacos for Taco Week. The Texas pulled pork taco comes with tender pulled pork topped with cumin cilantro coleslaw, cheddar cheese, fried onion crisps and a drizzle of housemade Gunny spicy BBQ sauce. Their blue fire crispy chicken taco comes with breaded chicken tenderloin, fresh greens, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar cheese and Tabasco and blue cheese infusion. House of Creole 668 Euclid Ave., Cleveland House of Creole is offering three tacos for Taco Week. Their coconut shrimp taco shots come with fried coconut shrimp topped with avocado lime aioli and mango salsa. Their voodoo chicken taco shots come with shredded buffalo chicken topped with creole coleslaw, jalapeños, and blue cheese crumbles. Their chicken taco comes Southwest seasoned with shredded lettuce, Cheddar blend, jalapeno relish, house pico, black bean and corn salsa and our cream. The Foundry Concert Club 11729 Detroit Ave., Lakewood This concert club and bar is offering three different tacos for Taco Week. The meat tacos come with your choice of beef and chorizo blend or seasoned chicken, topped with shredded cheddar, mixed greens, your choice of salsa, and sour cream. They also have a vegetarian taco with seasoned black beans topped with shredded cheddar, your choice of salsa, and mixed greens (can be made vegan without cheese). Twisted Taino 5633 Pearl Rd., Parma One of Twisted Taino’s offerings for taco week is their chicken tacos served with soft corn tortillas and filled with their creole chicken, topped with micro cilantro, pico de gallo and avocado cilantro sauce. Their Caribbean pork roast tacos are served with soft corn tortillas and are filled with their Caribbean pork roast and topped with micro cilantro, pico de gallo and avocado cilantro sauce.
