This year’s installment of the annual Mac ‘n’ Cheese Throwdown, which takes place on Saturday at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, will feature several of Cleveland’s top restaurants competing to be crowned the makers of Cleveland’s best macaroni and cheese.

Competitions for “best classic mac” and “best modern mac” will also take place.

In addition, there will be a “cheesy” DJ and “cheap booze” from 10 local providers.

The throwdown begins at noon and serves as a fundraiser for the local charity Working Animals Giving Service for Kids. Last year’s event raised more than $50,000 to provide mobility service and autism service animals that meet the specific needs of children with disabilities in Northeast and Central Ohio. The inmates of the ODRC at Grafton Correctional Institution and Mansfield Correctional Institution house and train the animals.

Tickets start at $25.
