It’s one thing for a nightclub to slash its prices as patrons simmer over high gas prices and supermarket bills. It’s another thing entirely to chauffeur them to and from the bar to get them to drink. And so it’s with great pleasure that we introduce (cue the trumpets) the Apex nightspot, where manager Johnny Cartwright is offering his customers free limo rides in his eight-seat Lincoln Continental if they’re too juiced to drive. “Come to the bar, and you don’t have to worry about getting home,” he says, causing us to stand and cheer for 45 minutes straight and alarming our fellow cubical farmers. …
