“City Barbeque was founded here in Ohio, and our fans have been asking us to come to Cleveland for years,” said Scott St. Clair, Senior General Manager, in a press release.
Expect several family-friendly activities at Saturday’s event, including face painting, a photo booth (with props provided) and a rib eating contest, all starting at 2 p.m.
The fare includes entrees like brisket and pulled pork as well as various sides, including mac and cheese and slaw.

This should have been located on the West Side of Cleveland.
Beachwood is more of a Jewish & Black area with people who are very loyal to their traditional food eateries. A suburb like Parma would of been a better fit for this. My experience eating at the Dayton, Ohio location in Beavercreek gives me an understanding of what demographic City Barbeque is going for and its not in Beachwood.
There are still a few of us whiteys left around here. But not many. Just drive through pinecrest…yikes!
Can’t wait to taste. Us westsiders travel not like our eastsiders counterparts.
By the looks of the crowd when I went the other night, Jews and Blacks loved the place. A bunch of other ethnic groups seemed to like it too. Let the Parma people go to Famous Dave’s and leave the good Q for the east side.
Downtown,
Not only are you a dbag, you’re stupid as well. Stay in Parma…
Firstly, black people are all about bbq if we are making generalizations(as a black person). How about we say everyone likes good food point blank period!
Ya know…….just goes to show how much ignorance and the belief in “WHITE PRIVILEGE” still exists in today society. It’s a real shame howl in the social climate of society today, people are using this DELICIOUSNESS to FLING their racist ideologies. Good food is good food peroid. And shouldn’t be excusionary. RACISM, BIGOTRY, and just plane IGNORANCE will make you miss out on some pretty spectacular experiences. In my opinion this being one of them.!
Ignoring the stupid racist comments…
I’ve had City Barbecue in Columbus while visiting friends, and really liked it. This new spot is close to my work, so while I am a westsider who will travel like Michael above, I’m excited to go get lunch there one day soon.
