If you’re curious about Congolese cooking, set aside some time between 4 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28. That’s when Esther Ngemba will be offering a small selection of foods from her pop-up Furahi: A Taste of Home. She’ll be serving out of Mason’s Creamery (4401 Bridge Ave.). Items include meat and vegetable sambusa, sombe and rice, chicken, and fried plantains.

You can wash it all down with glasses of fresh-squeezed lemonade from the #Corner65 Kids of Nehemiah Mission. For dessert, there’s ice cream from Mason’s, of course.
