Valor Acres, a mixed-use living community currently taking shape in Brecksville, will lay claim to a new sushi restaurant by chef Dante Boccuzzi. Boccuzzi says that he and developer Rob DiGeronimo have long been in talks to work together and Valor Acres, which is set to debut this coming summer, proved the ideal fit.

“I’ve been in discussions with the DiGeronimo family for years about finding the right opportunity to collaborate,” Boccuzzi says. “Now, with Masu at Valor Acres, we have the perfect match in the perfect location.”

Masu, a modern sushi concept, will deliver “an exceptional sushi experience, blending authentic Japanese traditions, super fresh fish, and an unforgettable dining atmosphere,” says management. The restaurant, which is also set to debut this summer, will offer fast-casual rolls and bowls at lunch, along with a full-service restaurant and sushi bar experience. At dinner, guests can expect an elevated sushi experience akin to Boccuzzi’s other restaurants, Ginko and Goma.

Heading up the kitchen will be chef Jacob McDaniel, who is currently at Ginko.

“Jacob has been with me in all my restaurants for years,” adds Boccuzzi. “He brings a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine and an incredible level of craftsmanship to Masu.”

Developer DiGeronimo is thrilled by the arrangement, he says.

“Seeing a good friend like Dante bring his incredible talent and vision to Valor Acres with Masu is truly exciting,” he says. “Dante’s passion for culinary innovation is exceptional, and having his new concept here aligns with our vision for what the Valor Acres development will bring to the community.”
