Tavern Six, Chagrin Falls
Dan and Teanna Vitantonio, who operate Tavern Six in Kirtland and Sage Karma Kitchen in Willoughby will open a second location of their popular Tavern Six concept in the former Panini’s spot. “We’re a scratch kitchen, so everything is made in-house – that’s super-important to us,” says Teanna. “Everything is made to order.” Teanna describes the place as “family friendly,” with items that appeal to kids and grownups alike. The large menu is loaded with familiar, approachable fare that includes starters, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and entrees like steaks, ribs and fish and chips. The signature dessert – the only dessert – are cupcakes baked by Teanna. Since opening the doors in 2015, Tavern Six has never repeated a cupcake flavor, which used to change daily but now changes every couple of days. Credit: Google Maps
When Panini’s Bar & Grill closed its Chagrin Falls location last year, Dan and Teanna Vitantonio saw a golden opportunity to expand their restaurant portfolio. The couple operate Tavern Six in Kirtland (7592 Chardon Rd.) – which will celebrate its 10th anniversary this spring – and Sage Karma Kitchen in Willoughby (4051 Erie St.).
This week, the Vitantonios opened Tavern Six Chagrin Falls (540 E. Washington St., 440-247-7200), a continuation of the brand. A gentle renovation has given the space a “rustic modern” look like the original.

“You know, people like it and it’s a cost-effective dessert,” she explains. “It can be shared and it’s not anything that people don’t want to order because it’s too big.”
Like the location in Kirtland, Chagrin Falls is open for lunch and dinner every day of the week.
