Oak & Embers, which launched five years ago in Chesterland, is just days away from opening its third restaurant. That restaurant officially debuts at Pinecrest this Sunday, December 15.
Owner Marc Garofoli's B-based formula — one focused on barbecue, bourbon and beer — thus far has served him well. In addition to the original spot, Garofoli transformed the former Marcelita's Mexican restaurant in Hudson into spot number two, a boisterous 350-seat, 8,500-square-foot saloon.
Pinecrest Oak & Embers clocks in at 220 seats, with an additional 40 outdoors. The 6,000-square-foot family friendly eatery will offer the same great mix of smoked meats, Southern comfort foods, bourbon and craft beer.
As is the case at the other two shops, all meats are smoked in-house in Southern Pride rigs that can handle 3,000 pounds at a go. From that rig will come the same delicious lineup of smoked meats like baby back ribs, beef brisket, pork shoulder, sausages and chicken wings.
“We’re really excited to be there,” says owner Marc Garofoli. “It’s a really great location on the west side of the development, across from the hotel.”
