Good food, great wine, and now a place to stay.
Many Ohio wineries have added inns to their vineyards, so if you over do it on the wine (and who can blame you), you can spend the night right where you are. Ohio has plenty of wineries, so a little rest and relaxation is never too far away. Here are a few of the nearby wineries worth checking out if you’re planning an overnight or weekend retreat.
A vacation and a learning experience! The Italian-themed Gervasi Vineyards offers cooking and wine classes as well as wine tastings, a plethora of dining options, golf and spa and yoga services. The overnight accommodations are luxurious and relaxing, ensuring a refreshing and enjoyable stay.
Located in the idyllic Genevea-on-the-Lake, the Lakehouse Inn is the total package. Complete with bed and breakfast, winery, restaurant, and day spa, this cozy Inn with spectacular views of the lake offers something for everyone.
This family- friendly vineyard in Conneaut is run by Fred and Joanna Bucci. Each room in the inn has its own hot tub and outdoor patio, both of which are fun at any age. Sip wine and take in the scenery while the kids enjoy the craft corner and their own non-alcoholic beverages.
Remote, rustic and featuring unbeatable scenery, the Inn at Rainbow Hills is a charming escape. The winery is housed in a log cabin that dates back nearly 200 years. There are ten wines available at the Newcomerstown facility.
Located just outside of Amish Country in Tuscarawas County, the Yellow Butterfly Winery’s bed and breakfast is in a 133 year old farmhouse. Enjoy a wine tasting in the large yellow barn overlooking the rolling hills and vineyards. While the Yellow Butterfly does not yet produce their own grapes, the fruit used in the wine is sourced from Ohio.
Not looking for a weekend getaway? There are plenty of award winning Ohio wineries that are perfect destinations for a day trip, too.
