Earlier this month we wrote about how the relocation of Phoenix Coffee Shop’s Coventry branch from the south end of the street to the north end marked the end of a coffee-based era.

While some of you naysayers may still be bemoaning the move, we had the opportunity to visit Phoenix’s new digs this week and take a peek at the brighter, more modern-looking era they’re now stepping into.

We recommend that you go check out the new space for yourself, but until then here are some photos to give you a feel for the place.

Phoenix’s new location is at the corner of Hampshire and Coventry.

Here’s what it looks like from the outside. Assistant Manager Jeremy Klinect says they’re working on getting a sign.

From the entrance, the interior looks modern, open, and bright.
Klinect describes it as more “professional.”

It has a decent amount of seating, both here-

And at the bars.
*Bonus, there are outlets-a-plenty

After perusing the menu,

You place your order at the counter.

Then pick up your made-to-order latte, crafted by Phoenix espresso artists

You can add all the fixings at the creamer station, which Klinect said is a piece from the Ohio Foundry

Just don’t you dare mix up their spoons.

If you ask nicely, the baristas may let you take a peek behind the counter

And at their dish station (why not?)

The bathrooms look a lot nicer than at the old place.

There’s also cool decor, like this sign created by RustBelt

And these recycled lights.

The wood paneling on the back wall is all recycled, too.
Hey, see that guy on the ladder?

He’s creating space for local artists to showcase their work.
Pretty cool.

Overall, we were really quite impressed. Congrats to Phoenix on their new home.
