On a recent trip to the Rubber City, we discovered what government employees there have known for a long time: There are few sit-down choices, and those entrepreneurs who brave the restaurant waters are easily overwhelmed.
With Akron city and Summit County offices, the court house, and other major buildings all concentrated around High Street and Main, there are surprisingly few chow options within walking distance. And as one disgruntled diner noted, the hordes of dutiful bureaucrats all take their breaks at the same time — around noon or 1 p.m.— crowding the few establishments willing to serve them…
