January is traditionally the month of the calendar filled with the most restaurant closure announcements and the bad news continues in Cleveland as Wolf Pack Chorus shared today that it will close the doors in Little Italy in early February.
“Service has been a fierce passion of mine, for as long as I can remember. The hospitality industry, specifically food and beverage, has given me an outlet to serve. I have received extreme pride and gratitude over the last 3 years from Creating the Wolf, to bringing Wolf Pack Chorus to life, to watching our amazing staff grow up and continue their journey of being great and talented humans…to now, moving on to the next chapter,” Chef Chris Wolf and Katie Wolf said in a release.
The Wolfs’ creation was something of an anomaly two years ago when it opened in University Circle in the former Club Isabella spot. In terms of culinary offerings, it was a world away from the red sauce establishments of Mayfield Rd., and in terms of atmosphere, a far cry from a buttoned-down style of dining familiar on the east side.
As Scene Dining Editor Doug Trattner wrote in his review: “From the name to the space to the food and the people who prepare it, everything about Wolf Pack Chorus is over the top. Here, the personalities are big enough to fill the cavernous carriage house-turned restaurant. Wolf Pack Chorus is the rare white-tablecloth restaurant that doesn’t take itself too seriously.”
While no firm closing date has been announced, there are more than a few days to stop in and enjoy a final (or first) meal.
“We will continue to celebrate all the memories that we have created for a long time to come,” the Wolfs added. “We love you Cleveland, from the bottom of our hearts.”
