In Back Issues: The Hustler Magazine Story, director Michael Lee Nirenberg documents the rise of Larry Flynt’s pornographic magazine. Because his father Bill was the magazine’s art and creative director for many years, Nirenberg had unprecedented access to the many employees, models, photographers and lawyers who have worked for the magazine. He was even able to interview Larry Flynt extensively for the film. Producers John Torrani and Flynn Hundhausen are in town to introduce the movie, which screens at 9:40 tonight, at 11:25 a.m. tomorrow morning and at 4:20 p.m. on Sunday at the Cleveland International Film Festival. They spoke to us while sitting in the lobby of the Ritz-Carlton hotel.
