Regal Cinemas at Crocker Park will be closed to the public from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday.

Automotive business mogul Bernie Moreno reserved all 16 of the cinema’s auditoriums in honor of the 10th anniversary of the opening of Mercedes-Benz of North Olmsted.

Employees and up to three guests each will be treated to an early screening of Jurassic World with complimentary popcorn and soda.

The invitation reads, “It’s been a wonderful 10 years since Mercedes-Benz of North Olmsted and Bernie Moreno Companies began in Northeast Ohio, so it’s time for a celebration…We wanted to do something special and exciting, and what’s more so than experiencing on of cinema’s gigantic franchises before anyone else?”

To reserve the theatre for an exclusive showing of a first-run film, a full buy-out at the adult admission rate, $11.01, is required.

A Regal corporate employee estimated the cost of buying out Crocker Park’s 2,430-seat cinema to be $26,754.30.

  1. Pretty sick of the radio ads for this guy – having a guy with a fake British accent isn’t enough, so they have to finish with the tag line, “A Bernie Merino company”. As if anyone gives a rat’s ass.

  2. Mary Lou – Considering “the guy” on the radio ad is the Vice President in charge of Infiniti in Cleveland and was born in England, and his family is British, the accent isn’t fake. Also, it’s Moreno, not Merino. If you’re going to be rude, be accurate.

We changed the name of the company for three reasons: first, the Collection Auto Group didn’t resonate with clients, second, it kept being referred to as Collections Auto, which obviously has a horrible connotation, and, third, with our expansion into Miami later this year, there is already a dealership group called The Collection down there.

  5. Jealous of Bernie much? I can see how that would be easy. Just remember he is a self made immigrant with a track record that trumps any other dealer, especially for his age. I don’t know him personally but think the world of him, based upon his reputation. Welcome back to Mass Bernie!
