Last year, the latest Star Wars sequel shattered all kinds of box office records. To capitalize on the renewed interest in the franchise, the Coventry Village neighborhood in Cleveland Heights will screen the original, theatrical versions of Star Wars, Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back.

All movies will show at 9 p.m. in Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Park, which is located at the corner of Euclid Heights Boulevard and Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights. The schedule includes Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (Aug. 4), Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (Aug. 5) and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (Aug. 6).

“We’re excited to show these truly special movies as they’re favorites of the young and old alike,” says Angela Hetrick, Executive Director of the Coventry Village Special Improvement District, in a press release. “Bring your family, friends and a blanket and join us for three memorable nights in August on the Coventry PE.A.C.E lawn.”

Look to the Friends of Coventry Village Facebook page for details regarding Star Wars pre-show parties, contests, and special offers from Coventry Village businesses, as well as the Coventry Village Summer Series 2016 lineup of free music, movies and other special events.

  1. Can people come dressed as their favorite characters? I would arrive as Han Solo, with gray hair.
