“No one has ever gotten to the top on their own,” LeBron James explains in the mini documentary Long Live the King, which dropped today on his Uninterrupted website.
The film recounts James’ rise from a gifted youth in Akron, to one of the best athletes in the world. Throughout, he focuses on how people and hard work got him to where he is today, without ever going into too much personal detail.
Featured in the documentary is former St. Vincent-St. Mary High School coach Keith Dambrot, Uninterrupted CEO Maverick Carter, Nike executive Lynn Merritt and Kith apparel founder Ronnie Fieg.
“It’s finally here,” Fieg wrote on his Instagram account. “This is the most important piece of work I have ever worked on. Inspiring the youth is most important to myself and the brand. This video shows Lebron’s ride to success and the hardships that many face on their way to the top. Dreams come true every day. An important dream of mine has come true with this project. Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.”
