Scott Weiland is mean to 16-year-old girls. Our guess is he also makes fun of crippled children.

I am a 16 year old girl and I saw Stone Temple Pilots with my father on May 20 at the State Theater in downtown Cleveland. I had the privilege of seeing Stone Temple Pilots play their third show since they broke up in 2003.
As soon as the opening music started playing everyone who was at the show stood up and started cheering louder than any concert I had ever been to. Scott Weiland came out on stage smoking a cigarrette. It is state law that you cannot smoke in any indoor public place, but I had seen a few other bands smoke on stage since this law took affect. The State Theater is a beautiful old theater that is about 100 years old and every little detail in this theater was not over looked by the people who designed it. Scott Weiland would flick his cigarettes all over and I’m sure that he left a few burns. At one point I saw him flick a cigarette into the audience while it was still lit…

  4. its not his job to take pictures and sighn your cd. It may have been nice of him but who knows what he was going through that day. On top of that im sure crazy people following his taxi all around the city after a nights work makes him a little hesitant to help out the fans

  5. I think it is pathetic and childish to run and go after a well-known persons. He gave you a picture moment, didn’t he? Don’t complain and enjoy the music.

  7. You, my friend, are a candy ass. The fact that you brought a Velvet Revolver CD to a STP concert pretty much claims you as a true mental midget. I would have LICKED the fricken BBQ sauce off of his delicious fingers….but most importantly…how DID you do on that Spanish test????

  8. This is the most fucking pathetic thing I’ve ever read, grow the fuck up, I would take a random picture with you either, your father should teach you not to idolize people. I bet he was wearing a white snake shirt too wasn’t he! Oh and speak English!

  9. Sorry that happened to you, yeah, many celebrities are jerks. They think they are gods or something, and they think it’s “cool” not to sign autographs, from the very people that made them famous. Without fans, they would be nothing, and many don’t realize that. From what I hear Jonathan Davis from Korn is a complete a**hole, and after hearing some personal stories from people I know who have met him, I have lost complete respect for him, and I really don’t like him anymore. And knowing how he is to fans, I’ve stopped buying anything having to do with Korn, and really stopped listening to their music all together. I know that doesn’t hurt them, but I can’t bring myself to support someone who is a jerk to the people who made them famous. Without fans, you’re nothing, but hey, they can afford to lose a few. Jerks. Hopefully your next encounter with a celebrity is much better.

  10. Hilarious. First the person criticized Welland for the cigarettes on stage, then how he treated the other worker. But still had the need to get autographs many hours after the concert ended.
Yahoo linked this article as a current story, although I see it happened 4 years ago. It was still funny and worth reading, just to see how it turned out. Hopefully, the writer has matured since then.

  11. How selfish are you? The guy has had to deal with this kind of insanity since the early 90s he’s probably a bit irritable in the presence of hormonal, googly -eyed teenage miscreants. He smoked cigarettes on stage oooh man. Be glad he didn’t light up the crack pipe. Face palm.

  12. i feel ya…. i would be disappointed too, but you gotta realize, your not dealing with John fucking Denver… Scott is a man with A LOT of fluctuation and instability goin on in his life… I wouldnt judge the man too harshly about it,,, like sumone else said, you don’t know what was goin on with him in that moment… He’s human like the rest of us, try a lil understanding

  13. So let me see if I understood all of that a psycho obsessed 16 year old out past her bedtime with an extremely hard test at 8 something in the morning stalked a singer for what seems like several hours after his concert and then gets butt hurt over the fact he gave her the slip? I mean come on really? You followed him multiple Times harassed him multiple times I would have ditched you too. Your father should have been a parent and not let you walk all over him and be out so late.

  14. Dang, these commenters are harsh. There weren’t many teenage girls in 2008 (and certainly aren’t now) who appreciate STP and Scott. Most probably listen to garbage like Nicki Minaj. Give her some kudos for listening to good music with her dad. Furthermore, even though some of her writing sounds immature (like about the cigarettes, etc) bear in mind she was 16 when she wrote this. The bottom line is, if these stories are true, Scott shoulda just signed the Velvet Revolver CD. I love Scott and his music, but let’s be honest, he can be a real asshole sometimes. Not a way to treat people who support you and are willing to wait for hours to meet you.

  15. He wasn’t a zoo animal. I don’t bother celebrities with autographs. I usually say hello to them and shake their hand. Well he has passed away so RIP Scott Weiland.

  16. Seriously this is the most bull shit I’ve heard in a while like really FUCK YOU whoever wrote this shit rip Scott Weiland your voice lives on

  17. Welcome to the real world…Am sure Scott had a hell of a lot more important things on his mind than some bratty twit idolizing him and kissing his ass. These people are entertainers, not zoo animals. You paid for a show, not personal time with Scott. I swear all these little shits thing they’re somehow petty celebrities in their own minds. You aren’t. Deal with it.

  18. He was eating for God’s sake! How would you like to be interrupted? Give him a break and some respect…

  19. Scott wouldn’t have given a fuck if your 16 year old ass got hit by his cigarette lol….Go to a pop 40 concert and eat it up.

  20. You complaining little fcking snot bag, times yourself by 200 that wanted the same thing as you? You had tickets to see him perform and you got what you paid for. These musicians have lives and families they have to provide for. They have special obligations they have to make so as much as it may hurt your feelings. The music industry is a tough place to be, you be grateful and hope next time the concert rolls around things may be better for you. – Rest In Peace Scott Weiland!

  21. You’re a fuckin lunatic & you’re pathetic. You’re what, 26, 27 now? You fit the age of the pathetic PC culture we all have to deal with today. You think you not listening to STP anymore does anything? But the fact that you think it does, says it all.. Fuck you & your stupid lame generation.. Shouldn’t you be listening to Lil Wayne & going to BLM protests anyways? Stupid ass bitch..

  22. Sounds like you were a sixteen year old little brat in my opinion. First, look at the way you looked down on him for smoking. Sounds to me like you were a stuck up snob who didn’t deserve your damn velvet revolver cd signed. Second, these celebrities have to take a lot of crap from people, people pawing on them, wanting their attention, their autograph, their picture taken with them, like “people” are owed this for being their fan. Bullshit, he didn’t owe you a damn thing. Next, well, Scott Weiland had bipolar, which is a debilitating disease, and that’s for a normal person, add the fact that he’s a well known celebrity that assholes like you won’t leave the hell alone? Well, lucky for you he didn’t flick a cigarette at you when you chased his taxi. You sound like he owed you something for being his fan. Get over yourself, ass hole. Hopefully since it’s been ten years since this was written you’ve matured yourself. If not, well I guess you can join the other rejects in America that are on welfare like someone owes them a living. Your dad should of really beat your ass, sounds like you needed it.

  23. Jen Kaplan, wow! I hope this reaches you ‘;cause this post is from ten years ago! You should of had an STP CD not another CD of a band he’s less proud of. Anyways, you have to remember celebrities-particularly of the rock star variety are not perfectly balanced people. They can be erratic, mental, rude etc. either from too much drugs or pressure. Sometimes they’re probably are more down-to-earth than we think and they get sick of people treating them like gods and maybe him being mean-spirited is his way of saying “Stop looking at me some as some kind of supreme being. Go away fellow human being, I’m exhausted.” I messaged him on Myspace two years before your experience, asking him if he liked metal. Of course I wasn’t surprised or hurt he didn’t answer. He probably had thousands of messages he didn’t have time to read. Fuck it. I don’t care.

  24. I cant believe you pestered him like that. Hes only human and was probably extremely tired after the show. Just be happy you got to see him live before he passed. Stop being a spoiled brat.
