- Now that Buckcherry has dropped out, Rock of Ages will be relatively douchebag-free
Buckcherry have dropped off the September 3 Rock of Ages concert at Classic Park because they’re opening for Nickelback on their current tour. (Christ, that sounds fun, doesn’t it? Leave us a comment below about what you’d rather do than attend the Nickelback-Buckcherry show. We vote for having our balls punctured by that really long spear-like thing Neptune carries around.)
Alice Cooper is still headlining the show, but replacing Buckcherry is — and we’re quoting the press release here — “the lead singers of Rare Earth, Sugarloaf, Blues Image, and Iron Butterfly.” Yay.
At least they’re knocking back the ticket price on the concert. You can pick up tix for $24.50 and $39.50.
If you’re actually upset that Buckcherry is no longer on the bill, you can get a full refund by sending your original ticket to the Classic Park Box Office no later than July 15, or you can bring it in person. If you already bought a ticket, go to the box office for a $10 refund.
The gates open at 5:30 p.m. Music starts at 7. Head-scratching over “the lead singers of Rare Earth, Sugarloaf, Blues Image, and Iron Butterfly” begins at 7:05. —Michael Gallucci

I’d rather give birth than have to watch Nickelback and/or Buckcherry.
I’ve given birth, and watched Nickelback and Buckcherry. All awesome experiences I can’t wait to repeat. Nickelback gives the best live show in rock music today and I can’t wait to see them again.

This sucks … I have had my tickets to see Buckcherry since tickets went on sale was going to drive in from Philly to see them,,
Great.. had my tickets since they went on sale… was driving from Philly to see Buckcherry.. For some reason they hate the east coast.
The closest they are coming to me is Hersey with Nickleback I can’t do Nickleback so I guess I wait till they decide to visit the east coast or come back with some one that I can stomach.
Thanks BC what a great way to end my summer
