Last year, The Drummer and the Keeper, an Irish drama, became the first-ever Cleveland International Film Festival opening night film to win the Roxanne T. Mueller Audience Choice Award for Best Film.

Earlier today, CIFF organizers announced plans to host a special screening of the movie at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the Capitol Theatre. Director Nick Kelly will travel from Ireland to be at the theater to host a post-film discussion.

In addition, Dr. John Hertzer, Director of the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, will speak about some of the mental health topics highlighted in the film. Local broadcaster Dee Perry will be on-hand to moderate the discussion.

Tickets to the event are $25.
