Peaches was once such an incendiary, shock-inducing artist, she was
a role model for performers like Le Tigre, M.I.A., Amanda Blank and
Santigold. So how does she deal with being a veteran rather than the
sultry new face on the scene? Basically by keeping the beats hot, the
lyrics wry and the hooks more infectious than the creepy sexual
partners she references in her songs. Like previous efforts, I Feel
Cream is a party-ready mix of hip-hop, dance, electro-pop and
R&B held together by its consistently fantastic production. The
bass is overwhelming, the beats made for sweating and the synths are
snarling, retro beasts ready to tear through clubs. Yeah, the lyrics
still take risqué to eyebrow-raising levels, but these songs are
