The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame just announced that it’ll host Celebration Day on Oct. 24 to help build anticipation for the upcoming Inductions which take place on Oct. 30 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The all-day community event will feature local talent, music venues, record shops and community partners.

Live music and all plaza activations are free. Museum admission is free for Ohio residents.

Local heroes Mourning [A] BLKstar, winners of the 2021 Cleveland Arts Prize: Emerging Artist Award, will headline the event, which will also feature performances by Jack Harris, Sarah Bailey, M.O.O.K.Y., Marcus Smith, Tri-C High School Rock Off winner Detention, Goodyear Garage to Glory winner Sarah Faith, Fusion, Nathan Paul and the Admirables, Marc Lee Shannon and the Mechanics.

There will be a community line dance on the plaza to Kraftwerk’s “Trans-Europe Express,” and a festival village will feature exclusive merchandise from the Rock Hall’s store, Current Year record shop, Brittany’s record shop, A Separate Reality record store, Bop Stop, Beachland Ballroom and Grog Shop.

A fireworks show set to songs from the 2021 Inductees takes place at 8 p.m. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
