The guys in the Cleveland hard rock group Along Came a Spider were driving through Texas recently when they noticed some asshole had left a lovable black and white dog on the road to die. They took pity on the poor creature and adopted it, taking it into their RV and nursing it back to life even though many of the animal hospitals they visited wanted to euthanize the little guy. The band eventually even found a good home for the dog too. The group documents the heartwarming story on its Facebook in the video you can watch below.

Along Came A Spider – Voice of the Voiceless (Lola's Story)

This was the most memorable moment of our year. We didn't tell a lot of people, but we saved a dog's life on the last tour. We ended up living the lyrics to our own song! This is Lola's story.PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO and let's help raise awareness of local shelters and the role they play in combating animal cruelty. Maybe somebody will get inspired to adopt their next best friend from a no-kill shelter today. Special thanks to the Humane Society of Central Texas and to Sarah M. for getting this sweet girl adopted! Please kind to animals, everyone.#adoptdontshop #nokill #dogrescue #hope #happytails #change #humanesociety

Jeff has been covering the Cleveland music scene for more than 25 years now. On a regular basis, he tries to talk to whatever big acts are coming through town. And if you're in a local band that he needs to hear, email him at jniesel@clevescene.com.
