Formerly of the local hip-hop outfit Play Havoc, politically minded local rapper Vice Souletric recently worked with the likes of heavy hitters such as Talib Kweli, N.O.R.E. and KRS-ONE.

Earlier this year, he released the single, “Return of the Black Man,” a collaboration with Kweli that speaks to what it’s like to be a black man in America today.

Now, Souletric has officially released a video for “T.A.M.I.R. (The American Machine Is Racist),” a spoken word piece that also addresses current affairs.

“It is a spoken word piece which speaks on the issue of an establishment that is in denial of its role in the demise of minorities,” he says of the video which was shot on the steps of Cuyahoga County Courthouse in Cleveland as well as the exact location of Rice’s death at Cudell Recreation Center.
