The members of the local punk band Model Martel — singer-guitarist Tim Gill, bassist Jason Utes, guitarist Chris Provchy and drummer Ryan Kelly — have known each other for two decades.

In the past, they’ve played in local acts such as Echoes of Harpers Ferry, Worship This, Sleeper Horse, Seafair, but when those groups dissolved, they formed Model Martel.

They’ve released a music video for the catchy tune “Mitt” that they filmed locally at TRG Studios. And they also released a lyric video for the tune “Dramadies.” The songs come from a new album coming out on the Denver-based punk label Snappy Little Numbers.

The band plays a release show on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Happy Dog. Lowspot and Dead End Days open.
